We welcomed Mr. Yibe, an Ethiopian participant in the JICA Internship Program.
He previously worked as a public relations officer at IPDC, an industrial park management corporation in Ethiopia.
He is currently pursuing a master's degree at an international university under the ABE Initiative and is interning at our company as part of the summer internship program.
He is interested in learning about Japanese work culture, so he is observing our on-site improvement activities.
He is also providing proposals for corporate public relations based on his past experience.
Actually, this is not the first time our company has participated in such an internship program to accept African talent.
To date, we have accepted a total of six African interns, including Mr. Yibe.
Some of these interns have gone on to become full-time employees at our company and are contributing to our Ethiopia operations.
The most important aspect of our business is human resources. Through such encounters, we aim to execute overseas expansion that addresses societal challenges while having a greater impact on society.
